ARDMORE - The Ardmore 4-H Beef Club held its annual Communications Day in Cold Lake on Feb. 25 at the Cold Lake Agricultural Society, celebrating half a century for the local 4-H club.
Speeches and presentations on a variety of topics were offered by the 16 members. The club also includes one clever member this year.
This year's communications day "was filled with exciting topics from calculators, to branding cattle, members pets, to even members recent trip to Japan," says head leader of the club, Stephanie McMann.
She adds, "4-H public speaking is a large part of the youth program and is one that we look forward to every year. No topics are ever the same and speaking in front of a crowd is a lifelong skill."
A group of judges were also part of the day, which included individuals that play key roles in the Lakeland, as well as many friends, family and other supporters, says McMann.
