Edmonton police investigating after series of assaults targeting women

EDMONTON — Police in Edmonton have issued a warning following a series of incidents, including sexual assault, in the same northwest neighbourhood that they believed were committed by one suspect.

Between April 2 and April 30, seven assaults have been reported in the Cumberland neighbourhood between the hours of 6 a.m. and 9 a.m.

All have targeted women.

The suspect is described as a white male between the ages of 25 and 30, with a thin build and a buzz cut, often wearing dark pants and a hoodie.

Investigators are warning residents to be on the lookout for the suspect, as his behaviour has been escalating.

Anyone who may have seen or been victimized by the suspect is asked to contact police.
