A couple missing in the Water Valley area after reporting yesterday afternoon that their vehicle had become stuck has been found safe, say police.

The couple, visiting the area from Holland, were located by search and rescue personnel near Township Road 312 and Range Road 91 west of Hunter Valley Adventures.

“The couple found a pump station where they could remain warm for the night,” said RCMP Cpl. Gina Slaney.

RCMP had asked Water Valley residents and visitors to be on the lookout of the couple, who were found early Tuesday afternoon.

“They were completely safe and unhurt,” Slaney told the Albertan.

The couple had travelled to the heavily-wood area southwest of Sundre to take photographs, she said.
