OKOTOKS — An Okotoks convenience store will be closed for two weeks after an employee tested positive for COVID-19.

The 7-Eleven on Milligan Drive closed its doors and gas pumps early Saturday, April 18 after learning a worker had been diagnosed with COVID-19.

"We have temporarily closed the store to thoroughly sanitize the location," a sign on the store's door reads. "We are asking staff to self-isolate with pay for 14 days per provincial health guidelines."

Any customers who visited the 7-Eleven location between April 3 and April 17 are asked to visit ahs.ca/covid to access the online self-assessment tool.

The store is set to re-open on May 2 after consultation with Alberta Health Services.
