Sluchinski leads Alberta to win over Nunavut at 2024 Brier

Airdrie's Team Sluchinski won the provincial curling championship on Feb. 11.

Team Alberta, skipped by Airdrie's Aaron Sluchinski defeated Nunavut 12-10 to secure their second win of the 2024 Montana's Brier. On Friday Sluchinski and company beat Kevin Koe's Alberta Wildcard team 8-4 for their first tournament win. 

The win places Sluchinski's Alberta team at the top of the Pool B standings, tied with Saskatchewan for first place.  

Sluchinski and the rest of the Alberta team will take on Team Nova Scotia during Draw 7 Monday morning and then will face Prince Edward Island Monday night.

The Brier will continue until March 10 with getting to represent Canada at the World Championship in Schaffausen, Switzerland March 30 to April 7.
