Woman's death near Policeman's Flats deemed non-criminal

The Oct. 6 discovery of a body near Policeman's Flats in Foothills County has been determined to be non-criminal following an autopsy done on Oct. 10.

A woman’s death that occurred near Policeman’s Flats last Friday has been deemed non-criminal, according to autopsy results. 

An autopsy was completed on Oct. 10, the Calgary Police Service (CPS) said. 

Police were called to the area around Policeman’s Flats in Foothills County at about 8 a.m. on Oct. 6 for reports of a woman in medical distress. 

When they arrived, officers located a deceased woman, and the CPS homicide unit was called in to investigate. 

Due to the non-criminal nature of the death, no further information will be released, police said in a media release.
