Bonnyville RCMP General Investigation Section (GIS) have arrested a 29-year-old Bonnyville man and a 38-year-old male on drug and weapon-related offences.

Police seized roughly 70-grams of cocaine, six-grams of magic mushrooms, and several firearms as a result of the Dec. 5 search warrant conducted by local GIS, general duty RCMP officers, and Cold Lake Police Dog Services within the Town of Bonnyville.

Waden Alfred Hordal was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of magic mushrooms, possession of the proceeds of crime, and two counts of failing to comply with a recognizance.

The identity of the 38-year-old male is being withheld by RCMP pending the swearing of charges including careless storage of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose to the public, and unauthorized possession of firearms.

Hordal remains in police custody until his Dec. 17 court appearance while the unnamed male was released.
