Burn ban ended

Landowners looking to do essential burning can now do so with caution — and permits.

The MD of Bonnyville lifted the fire ban on Monday, thanks to recent showers and snowfalls. A fire advisory continues.

Permits for essential burning can be completed in a period of 72 hours.

Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority continues to remind anyone burning to supervise their fires and to prevent fires from spreading.

A person can be prosecuted for starting a fire that spreads and is responsible for the costs of extinguishing the fire.

For more information contact the Bonnyville Regional Fire Authority at 780-826-4755.
