First readings passed for developments

MD of Bonnyville council gave first readings to nine bylaws at its meeting on Wednesday.

Council passed first reading for Bylaw LU 485 to rezone the Estates of Long Bay from Agriculture ‘A' to Country Residential.

First reading was also given to Bylaw 1467 for the Wood Creek RV Resort area structure plan on the south shore of Moose Lake north of Township Road 604A and west of Range Road 465. The proposal includes 22 lots for cabins, 33 lots for mixed use RVs and park model trailers, and 64 lots strictly for RVs.

Council gave first reading to Bylaw LU 486 to rezone slightly less than 48 acres from Agriculture ‘A' to Direct Control District for the Wood Creek RV Resort. Bylaw LU 487 passed first reading to amend the Moose Lake area structure plan to designate the land as Intensive Recreation.

First reading was given to Bylaw No. 1468 for the adoption of the Fawn Ridge Estates area structure plan, specifically a country residential development of 52 lots on the south boundary of the City of Cold Lake east of Highway 28. First reading was also given to Bylaw LU 488 to rezone this same area from Agriculture ‘A' to Country Residential.

Council also gave first reading to Bylaw No. 1469 for the Riverhurst Subdivision area structure plan south of Riverhurst Hall five miles west of the City of Cold Lake. The subdivision would consist of 49 lots an acre and a half in size. Bylaw LU 489 was given first reading to rezone from Agriculture ‘A' to Country Residential and Bylaw LU 490 was given first reading to amend the Highway 55 area structure plan.

Bylaw No. 1470 also passed first reading to adopt the White Rose Estate area structure plan, which is north of the Bonnyville Municipal Airport and east of land zoned for industrial. Twenty-five metres of recreational green space would separate the industrial subdivision and proposed residential. Lots would vary from 1.5 to 2.5 acres in size. First reading passed for Bylaw LU 491 to rezone the land from Agriculture ‘A' to Country Residential.
