Aurora Middle School hosts invitational basketball tourney

Middle school students from across the Lakeland took part in an  invitational basketball tournament hosted by Aurora Middle School over the Feb. 10 weekend. The tournament featured combined Grade 7 and 8 girls and boys teams from the host school as well as Ecole Plamondon, Cold Lake Junior High, Ecole Beausejour, and the Cold Lake-based Assumption School. 

The day-long competition got underway at 9 a.m. with the Aurora boys facing off against École Plamondon, winning 21-12. While this game was happening, the Aurora girls played Cold Lake Junior High School, dropping a 64-25 decision to the visiting team.

Tournament results were not available by press time. Updates will be made available when results are known.
