Police say suspects rammed cruiser

Lac La Biche, Alta. – On April 4th, 2019 at approximately 05:00 a.m., Lac La Biche RCMP responded to a call of a break and enter in progress at a residence on Range Road 132A, in the Mystic Beach area of Lac La Biche County. Members attended and located two pickup truck in the complainant's yard. As members approached, they activated their emergency lights. The suspects attempted to flee, ramming into one of the police vehicles. Two males and one female were arrested without incident.

Baptiste Herman, a 48-year-old male from Janvier was charged with nine Criminal Code offences, including:

  • Assault Peace Officer with a weapon
  • Flight from Police Officer
  • Break and Enter
  • Possession of property obtained by crim over $5000
  • Trespass at night
  • Mischief under $5000 (X4)

He has been remanded into custody and will appear in Lac La Biche Provincial court on April 8, 2019.

Leslie Quintal, a 26-year-old from Conklin was charged with seven Criminal Code offences, including:

  • Break and Enter
  • Possession of Property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Trespass at night
  • Mischief under $5000 (X3)
  • Disobeying a court order

He was released on his own recognizance by a Justice of the Peace, and will appear in Lac La Biche Provincial court on April 29, 2019.

Candace Herman, a 31 year old from Janvier was charged with six Criminal Code offences, including:

  • Break and Enter
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5000
  • Trespass at night
  • Mischief under $5000 (X3)

She was released on her own recognizance by a Justice of the Peace, will appear in Lac La Biche Provincial court on April 29, 2019
