The St. Paul Golf Club held its annual Club Championship on Sunday, and despite the stormy weather 39 participants came out to compete for the title.
Course manager Jerrid Pasitney finished atop the leaderboard on Sunday afternoon with a 74 to claim the title of 2013 Club Champion, thanks in part to a hole in one, his first in decades.
“I took the shot, it didn’t land in the hole at first. It stood against the pin, between the pin and the lip for about 15 seconds and then the wind knocked it in,” Jerrid said of his hole in one. “I haven’t got one of those in 40 years, it’s great.”
Jennifer Courtoreille shot a 65 on the day to claim the overall low net and her second straight Ladies Club Championship title, while Pierre DeMoissac shot the first low gross in the senior men’s category with an 80.
Jeremie Pasitney earned the Junior Club Championship with an 87 on the afternoon, while sister Sophie Pasitney claimed the title of Junior Girls Champion.
Jerrid said that it was a good day out on the links despite the inclement weather that made for a few delays.
“It’s been a good day overall. We had Jamie Sadlowski, the two-time long drive champion playing here today,” said Jerrid. “I guess I got lucky enough to beat Jamie. The hole in one helped.”
