Dodgers drop rainy game to Bonnyville U15

LAKELAND - The Lac La Biche Dodgers U15 baseball squad could soak up a win in a rain-drenched match-up with Bonnyville on Wednesday night.

The visiting Bonnyville team beat the Dodgers by two runs in a game played almost entirely under cloudy skies and steady rain.

The game was the first home game for the Dodgers on the new baseball diamonds at the Bold Center Sports Fields.

The next home game for the U15 Dodgers is on June 6 against Plamondon. The next game for Bonnyville U15s is on May 25 when they play the other Bonnyville squad. Plamondon hosts the Elk Point U15 squad on May 30.

In U13 action, St. Paul takes on Pierceland on May 26 and Kikino hosts Bonnyville the same night. The U18 team from Elizabeth Settlement hosts Bonnyville 1 on May 26.   

All games are a 6:30 p.m. start.
