Elk Point U15s beat Dodgers in Lac La Biche baseball home-opener

LAC LA BICHE - A short bench and some winter rust didn't help the Lac La Biche U15 Dodgers in their home-opener on Saturday, losing to the Elk Point White Sox.

In upcoming games, Plamondon's U15 host Bonnyville on Wednesday night,  the St. Paul U13s are in Goodfish this Thursday for a game, and the St. Paul 18 squad hosts the Elizabeth Settlement team the same night.

League games across the Lakeland Ball Association fired up last week for teams from tee-ball to U18.

The U15 Dodgers have a roster of just 10 players this season, but still managed to keep their first game of the season within reach with some good defence and base-running.

In other recent action on the local diamonds, the U13 Dodgers beat Goodfish Lake 21-7 last Thursday night. In upcoming games, Plamondon's U15 host Bonnyville on Wednesday night,  the St. Paul U13s are in Goodfish this Thursday for a game, and the St. Paul 18 squad hosts the Elizabeth Settlement team the same night.
