GALLERY: Junior high badminton players get a taste of competition

ST. PAUL - Three school gymnasiums in St. Paul were bustling with badminton players ready to hit the courts on Saturday. 

Racette Jr. High School hosted the tournament, which included students in Grades 6 to 9. Singles, doubles and mixed teams took part in several categories, vying for the bronze, silver and gold medals. Games were held at Racette Jr. High School, Glen Avon School, and St. Paul Regional High School.

The badminton season within the St. Paul Athletics Association (SPAA) will culminate for junior high teams later this month at the Jr. SPAA championship scheduled for late April.

The senior SPAA championship tournament is set for April 20, which is followed by Zones and Provincials.
