Glen Avon hosts junior high volleyball tournaments in St. Paul

ST. PAUL - Glen Avon School hosted a Grade 6/7 volleyball tournament on Thursday night in St. Paul, with teams coming in from across the region to take part. Two days later, the junior high school hosted its Grade 7-9 volleyball tournament, again bringing teams from across the area to compete on the court.

On Thursday night, it was the two teams from St. Jerome’s that took first and second place on the boys’ side, with the Glen Avon Panthers took third. On the girls’ side, Glen Avon took first, Mallaig claimed second, and Racette Jr. High took third.

On Saturday, the Racette boys beat St. Jerome’s for first place, and Mallaig took third place. The Racette girls beat Two Hills for the top spot on Saturday, and Glen Avon took third for the girls.
