ST. PAUL - Teams from the St. Paul Athletics Association (SPAA) area gathered at the St. Paul Curling Rink to take part in this year's championship tournaments.

Five mixed curling teams took part in SPAA action a week early, with Racette Jr. High coming out on top, and École du Sommet getting silver.

Then on Feb. 7, the girls' teams began their tournament, with five teams also taking part in SPAA this year. When the competition wrapped up on Feb. 8, it was the team from Racette Jr. High coming out on top, and FG Miller from Elk Point in second.

On the boys' side, it took just a couple games to determine this year's SPAA champion with only two teams taking part. The boys' team from FG Miller would defeat the boys' team from Racette for the gold medals.
