LAC LA BICHE Registration for the Aug. 20-21 Club Championships at the Lac La Biche Golf Club closes on Aug. 18.
The event that crowns the year's top male, female, youth and senior golfers takes place this coming weekend, with 18 hole rounds going Saturday and Sunday mornings with a shotgun start. This year's tournament is also a members' appreciation event, bringing all levels of golfers to the lakeside course.

Local golf officials say the sign-up for the two-day members event has been a little below par — so they want people to get swinging.
