BONNYVILLE - Junior high volleyball teams from across the Lakeland travelled to Bonnyville on Saturday to take part in the Lakeland Schools Athletic Association's (LSAA) District Championship games. 

Taking home the gold hardware among the boys teams' was Aurora Middle School from Lac La Biche. Coming up short in the gold medal game to take second place was the Bobcats from Dr. Brosseau School in Bonnyville. 

Assumption School's junior high boys took third place during the tournament. 

In the girls division, the title of District champions was earned by the Dr. Brosseau team, following a back and forth gold medal game against the École des Beaux-Lacs Attaque.

Cashing in strong plays for points was Aurora Middle School's girls team, who walked away from the District tournament with a third place plaque.
