ST. PAUL – A big box worth of food was donated to the St. Paul & District Food Bank on Dec. 22 by staff from the St. Paul Abilities Network (SPAN) and the individuals they serve.

"The donations we're bringing today are from all of our different departments, all the different group homes, and everybody contributed, from our staff and individuals - so, our clients," said Braden Campeau, who works with SPAN's Community Employment Services.

The donation was presented by Kate Polzin and Lester Hladchuk, two individuals from SPAN's day program where clients come to the SPAN office and hang out. That's where they also packaged up the donations.

Polzin said it was a good feeling to be a part of the effort of giving back to the community.

"Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone," Polzin said with a big smile.
