BONNYVILLE – The Bonnyville and District Chamber of Commerce (BDCC) is hosting its annual Business Resiliency Awards, and folks can now head to their website to nominate a worthy local business.

Megan Wakefield, executive director of the BDCC said the purpose of the Business Resiliency Awards is to recognize and celebrate the resilience and adaptability of businesses in the community.

“These awards shine a spotlight on those who have faced challenges and shown exceptional determination in navigating them, whether through innovation, customer service, or community involvement. The Chamber is proud to support our local businesses by acknowledging their achievements, as they are essential to the strength and vibrancy of our region,” said Wakefield.

The Business Resiliency Awards were launched several years ago with the goal of giving businesses recognition for their hard work and perseverance.

“The awards have grown in importance each year, and we’re thrilled to see the level of community support and engagement continue to grow,” said Wakefield.

Winners of the awards are publicly recognized at the BDCC’s annual awards ceremony, which will be held on Oct. 17.

“They receive a prestigious award that not only showcases their achievements but also provides excellent marketing opportunities. Beyond the award itself, winners often experience increased visibility within the community, helping them attract new customers and further solidify their reputation as leaders in business resiliency,” said Wakefield.

She said hosting the Business Resiliency Awards has been an “incredibly rewarding experience” for herself and the BDCC.

"It’s inspiring to see the passion and innovation within our local businesses, especially when they’ve had to overcome significant obstacles. The awards ceremony itself is always a wonderful occasion, bringing together business owners, community leaders, and local residents to celebrate the strength of our economy. It's also a great networking opportunity and a way to foster collaboration among businesses in our region. The positive feedback we’ve received shows just how impactful this event is for everyone involved,” said Wakefield.

BDCC members and non-members are able to purchase tickets for the awards ceremony.
