Lakeland This Week/LakelandToday.ca has an immediate opening for a journalist on our regional news team. Based in Cold Lake, the successful candidate will focus on providing local news coverage in Cold Lake and area for our regional print publication and online news site.
Cold Lake is a vibrant community with an abundance of interesting and exciting news to share with readers across the region and beyond. We are seeking an individual with a keen news sense combined with an ability to respond quickly and accurately to news as it develops.
Qualified candidates require:
• Journalism diploma or degree. Post-secondary equivalencies in English/Communications/Political Science/History among others will be considered.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Press style
• Photography skills
