COLD LAKE - The Government of Alberta, with industry stakeholders, is supporting caribou recovery while promoting sustainable development in the Cold Lake region - and seeking public feedback. 

Evacuees from Fort McMurray were being directed to Lac La Biche due to a wildfire, but are now being sent to Cold Lake.

COLD LAKE - The Cold Lake Air Force Museum has unveiled an addition to its collection, a CF-188 Hornet jet, tail number 188733. 

"We don't have a homeless problem - we have addictions and mental health issues," says Cold Lake John Howard Society representative.

Despite gloomy clouds and constant rainfall on May 7, the mood was celebratory as the MD of Bonnyville celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Cherry Grove Fire Hall and Grader Shop, marking a milestone for the community's safety and development.  

The City of Cold Lake council has voted to provide a letter of support to Cold Lake First Nations for an upcoming expansion of Casino Dene.

As part of National Police Week, which runs from May 12 to 18, the Cold Lake RCMP is reaching out to the community with a special event designed to bring people together and offer insight into the work they do.

The City of Cold Lake is embracing a fresh new look along Highway 28, with the installation of decorative sails, designed to reflect the spirit of the community. 

Cold Lake and District Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) hosted an Emergency Preparedness event, bringing together residents and emergency response teams to enhance the community's resilience and readiness for emergencies.  

In early May, Cold Lake Fire Rescue (CLFR) took a step in enhancing their water rescue capabilities by conducting a surface water rescue training on the Beaver River.
