It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vivian Gratton after a hard battle with cancer. Vivian was born in St. Paul, AB., earned a Commerce Degree at the University of Lethbridge. She then went to work in Calgary, AB for Shell Canada Ltd until her retirement. Her final position was Oil Sands Royalty Analyst, Operations Accounting-Finance for Shell Canada Energy. Vivian was a very hard-working, honest, and courageous person who always gave her best. She loved the outdoors, gardening, hiking, biking, and spending time with relatives and family. She was looking forward to her retirement, relaxing, and doing all the things she loved. We will all miss her very much. She is survived by her parents, Lucien and Jeannine Gratton; brothers: Denis (Helen) and Marcel (Violetta); two nephews: Christopher and Braedyn (Dell) ; one niece Aalesha (Brandon) and three great-nieces, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Monday, April 5, 2021 at St. Albert Catholic Church. A special thank you to Doctor Doyle, Doctor Brit and all the palliative care staff at the Grey Nuns Hospital.
