Farmers are gearing up for the busy spring seeding ahead. While concerns for a possible drought weigh heavy on the minds of many, the seed still has to go in the ground.

About 130 athletes competed during the Senior St. Paul Athletics Association badminton championships on April 17. Top qualifying students are now in Fort McMurray to play at NEASAA zones.

On April 17, the St. Paul Diocese held a Thanksgiving Mass for the canonization of its secondary patron, Saint Kateri Tekakwitha, attended by parishioners from across the region.

The three-day event, hosted by the St. Paul Ag Society, saw about 300 contestants compete during the event.

No open-air fires allowed

St Paul RCMP are currently on scene of an uncontrolled fire in the community of Goodfish Lake First Nation. RCMP have evacuated multiple houses as the fire is burning out of control.

The federal government says this will provide “certainty” to investors by delivering both Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage investment tax credit and the Clean Technology investment tax credit.
