REGINA — The Saskatchewan government says minimum wage workers are set to get a slight raise this fall.
Officials say minimum wage will increase to $15.35 per hour starting on Oct. 1, up from the current $15 per hour.
Labour Relations Minister Jim Reiter says the increase will have benefits for employees and notes the province also wants to create a balance for employers.
He says meetings will be held over the next few months with key stakeholders to "understand the implications" of the raise.
Saskatchewan's current minimum wage is tied with Alberta as being the lowest in the country.
The minimum wage in Alberta hasn't changed since 2018.
