The Bonnyville Regional Fire Association (BRFA) has an annual tradition of volunteering its services to clean the sidewalks of main street, using fire hoses to wash away the sand and debris of winter.  

Paul Shaw, a retired nurse, helps out with the cooking crew at the Lac La Biche Heritage Society, and also plays music at his church, for residents of seniors' lodges, and a kids' program at the Stuart MacPherson Public Library in Lac La Biche.

Bonnyville Centralized High school (BCHS) put on a musical production of ‘Annie,’ marking the Strathcona Performing Arts Centre’s first drama performance to grace the new stage.

Paulette Seliski is a member of the Lac La Biche Heritage Society and the local branch of the Order of the Royal Purple. She also helps out with fundraising casinos for various community organizations.

A truck driver has died following a single-vehicle rollover on Range Road 485 in the MD of Bonnyville.

The organization, which represents seniors in the Lac La Biche region, will be hosting activities such as bingo, meals, a trip to Sir Winston Churchill Provincial Park, and a comedy show and supper to coincide with Alberta Seniors Week, which runs from June 2-8.

The training rooms are dedicated to the memory of RCMP Constable Leo Johnston, who was from the Lac La Biche area, and Community Peace Officer Rodney Lazenby.

Lac La Biche County council approved a $35,000 grant for the annual Plamondon Mud Bogs event taking place in July.

The event, which took place on May 29 and was organized by the Lac La Biche Regional Attraction and Retention Society, was done as part of Alberta Rural Health Week, which ran from May 26-30.
