Bonnyville hosts U19 Womans Softball

The Bonnyville Angels U19B Womens team took to the Kushnir diamonds on Saturday July 9, to play against the Elnora Eagles at the Provincial Championship tournament. The Bonnyville Angels came up short, losing 12-5 against the Eagles who finished the tournament in first place.▲

BONNYVILLE - Over the weekend, the Kushir Baseball Diamonds in Bonnyville hosted the U19B Girls Provincial Championships.

And while the weather cooperated, the tournament did not have the final result the hosting team, the Bonnyville Angels, had hoped for.

U19B Girls Provincial results

1st place - Elnora Eagles

2nd place - Blackfalds Extreme

3rd place - Medicine Hat Thunder

4th place - Irma Tigers

5th place - Bonnyville Angels

The Elnora Eagles team and Blackfalds Extreme team, that earned gold and silver during the tournament, will represent Alberta in the Western Canadian Ladies U19B Fastball Championships in Richmond B.C. from Aug. 4-8.
