Bull-a-rama kicks off rodeo week in St. Paul

ST. PAUL - With just weeks before the arena surface is converted to ice, the Clancy Richard Arena will first play host to one of the largest annual events - the Lakeland Rodeo Association finals. Kicking off a busy week of rodeo activity on Aug. 27 was bull-a-rama, a Bull Riders Canada sanctioned event.

With cowboys and bulls ready to compete, it was William Barrows of Foremost, Alta., that would come in first place, with a score of 84.5. Not far behind was Fabian Dueck of Loma Plata, Paraguay, who scored 84 on the night.

In third place was Tristen Manning of Edson, Alta, with a score of 75. In fourth place was Marshall Senger of Meadow Lake, Sask., with a score of 74.5.

The night also offered a chance for spectators to sit in the "shark cage." Successful bidders were able to get up close and personal with the action, sitting in a special seating area that included an outer cage to keep them safe from the bulls.
