LAC LA BICHE - Lac La Biche minor baseball teams were on the diamonds last week for early season games in the Lakeland Minor Ball League.

While both the U13 Dodgers and the U18 Dodgers lost their home-openers to visiting St. Paul teams, it was a win-win for Lac La Biche's U9 players as the two home teams faced each other in the first game of the season.

"Of course Lac La Biche won," joked Lac La Biche U9 Team 1 coach Cheryl Kuraitis.

Both the Lac La Biche Team 1 and Team 2 groups will play teams from Saddle Lake, St. Paul, Bonnyville, Cold Lake and Pierceland in their league.

Lac La Biche and Plamondon teams

Lac La Biche has two teams in the U9, U11 and U13 divisions, and one U18 Lac La Biche Dodgers team. There is no U15 Lac La Biche team this season. The Plamondon Mustangs have teams in the U11, U13 and U15 divisions of the league.

The season runs through the summer months, with regular games played on Thursday nights.
