It's the Wow Pow volleyball weekend in Lac La Biche County.

The annual high school volleyball event hosted by J. A. Williams High School in Lac La Biche has been running for five decades and this year has 42 boys and girls high school teams from across northern Alberta competing for the top spots.

The two-day event began on Friday morning with local teams battling it out on the Bold Center courts, with a few games spilling into the over-flow courts at Aurora Middle School.  Games went until 7 on Friday night and resume Saturday morning, with playoffs and finals expected to wrap up late Saturday afternoon.

There will be more images coming from the courts. Saturday's games begin at 9 am.
