Skijoring offers entertainment ahead of another extreme cold spell

ST. PAUL - It was timed just right, with temperatures feeling as though they were dropping throughout the day on Saturday out at the site of the 2022 skijoring event in St. Paul, just east of town.

Thanks to a mild Saturday on Feb. 19, the St. Paul AG Society successfully pulled off the skijoring event, with plenty of spectators stopping by to watch those brave enough to put skis and snowboards on their feet, while being pulled behind a horse.

By the next day, temperatures had dropped significantly, and extreme cold warnings were in place for the rest of the Family Day long weekend, cancelling many other outdoor winter events that had been planned.
