Tragic

Tragic
The loss of a child. Unbearable.

The news this weekend that an eight-year-old child lost his life in Lac la Biche Lake is numbing.
A mishap. The unthinkable.

In a blink, an afternoon of fun on summer’s last long weekend turns to tragedy. It happens that fast.
There’s no lesson to be learned in events like this. No hindsight or early warning.

A true and horrifying accident.

That of course, is no condolence for the family and friends of this young person. They don’t care about accidents or chances ... they just want their boy back.
Unbearable.

If you have kids, tell them how much they mean to you. If you don’t have kids, just imagine the
unimaginable pain of true and absolute loss. If you have gone through similar loss, reach out to those who will need your help in times of need.

Nothing we do or say right now can ease this loss. This article was written with the full knowledge that its only purpose is to remind those who have suffered loss that there is a community around them that cares.
