UPDATE: The Airdrie RCMP are happy to report Mr. Oneka has been located and is back with his family.
"The Airdrie RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating Mr. Oneka," the detachment stated in an afternoon update.
The Airdrie RCMP are asking the public to help locate 72-year-old Donacious Ogwok Oneka, who was last seen Aug. 8 at his home in the Big Springs neighbourhood. It is believed by police that Oneka took transit into Calgary.
Oneka has health concerns that can have an impact on his cognitive and physical abilities. There is concern from the police and family for his safety.
Airdrie RCMP described Oneka as 5'11," weighing 170 pounds, with grey hair and brown eyes. He is known to wear a brown suit jacket.
