St. Albert RCMP say they have identified the driver of a red pick-up truck who was captured on security camera footage doing a burnout on the Pride crosswalk by St. Albert Place in June.

“The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending,” RCMP said in an Aug. 9 release.

“No other information is available at this time.”

Last month RCMP said they had also identified the two individuals who were again captured on security camera footage littering anti-2SLGBTQ+ pamphlets throughout the playgrounds of two local elementary schools.

At the time, RCMP told the Gazette that no arrests had been made, and the names of those responsible were not going to be released to the public.
