Canadians will be heading to the polls Monday, Oct. 21.
Earlier today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced the official launch of the federal election campaign period will be Wednesday (Sept. 11) which means voting will take place Oct. 21, based on Canada's fixed-date election law.
So far, there are three candidates for the Lakeland riding including incumbent Shannon Stubbs for the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC), People's Party of Canada candidate Alain Houle, and candidate for the Libertarian Party of Canada Robert McFadzean.
Running for MP of the Fort McMurray-Cold Lake riding is incumbent CPC David Yurdiga, Liberal Maggie Farrington, and People's Party of Canada candidate Matthew Barrett.
