Impaired charges for man after car goes through crime scene police tape

Bonnyville RCMP say a 49-year-old man has been arrested and is facing drug charges related to possession for the purpose of trafficking, after a car drove through an active crime scene earlier this month. Police released the information about the October 3 arrest this week. 

Dennis Budenski of Bonnyville was arrested after a car drove through police caution tape and into an active crime scene of a serious assault, say RCMP. The incident occurred at about 6:30 a.m. Budenski  has also been arrested for breaching conditions of being outside of his home during a court-imposed curfew. 

During a search of the vehicle, members located what is believed to be a 10 gram bag of methamphetamine. He was arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking and has been remanded into custody. 

The arrest was one of four impaired driving investigations conducted by the Bonnyville RCMP in the first week of October.
