Cochrane RCMP searching for man believed to be armed

Cochrane RCMP issued and then rescinded a shelter-in-place order for some residents after a man believed to be armed left the area on a scooter.

Update:

Cochrane RCMP have rescinded the shelter in place order for Bow Ridge residents. According to police, the suspect, Greg Deviat, is still at large, but has likely left the the Bow Ridge area.

Residents are asked to remain cautious and vigilant as they go about their daily affairs.

Cochrane RCMP are issuing a shelter in place for the community of Bow Ridge, specifically residences on Bow Ridge Drive. Please stay inside and lock your doors.

RCMP are investigating a firearms complaint. It is believed the suspect, Greg Deviat, is armed with a firearm. He left his residence on a scooter. He was last seen wearing a black short and grey pants.

An update will be sent when more information becomes available.
