Thieves pulled up to Olds high school in stolen truck and steal bikes

OLDS — RCMP are asking for the public's help regarding a brazen daylight attempt to steal bikes at École Olds High School yesterday. 

Police say the incident occurred Oct. 16 at about 1:40 p.m. 

Witnesses told RCMP that a white F350 drove across the grass at the school. 

“A male jumped out and proceeded to steal bicycles that were chained up on the bike rack,” police said in a news release issued Tuesday. “Investigation revealed that the truck was stolen out of Red Deer.” 

Anyone with information that could help police crack this case is asked to call Olds RCMP at 403-556-3324 or their local police.
