Catherine Reitman's CBC comedy series 'Workin' Moms' to end after season 7

CBC's "Workin' Moms" is laying out plans for retirement.

Producers of the Catherine Reitman comedy say the TV series will come to an end with its upcoming seventh season, which is currently filming in Toronto.

The final episodes will air on CBC starting in winter 2023.

"Workin' Moms" follows Kate Foster, played by Reitman, as she navigates the responsibilities of raising a family, building her career and maintaining a circle of friends.

Reitman created and executive produced the show which found a global following when it was picked up by Netflix.

In a statement, she thanked CBC and Netflix for supporting a show that "points a flashlight into the darkest corners of motherhood."
