LAC LA BICHE - The Surf Soccerfest brought waves of teams to the Lac La Biche's Bold Center Sports Fields over the weekend.
Teams from across the Lakeland and northern Alberta took part in the event that was billed as a fun and festival-style tournament for young players in the U7 to U11 divisions.
The weekend also featured a more competitive U13 division, as well as an afternoon soccer clinic on the event's final day.
Lakeland This Week and www.lakelandtoday.ca will have the final results from the tournament in a following update.
The next tournament in the Lakeland area is the U7-U9 mini tournament in Vermilion on May 28 and the U11 Spring Classic, also in Vermilion on May 29. St. Paul is hosting a U7-U11 tournament on June 4, and the Mini-Wetlands Tournament for U7 to U11, hosted by the Bonnyville Soccer Association, runs on June 11.
