BONNYVILLE - On Thursday evening, École Notre Dame High School's senior volleyball teams hosted the St. Paul Regional High School girls and boys teams for some exhibition play.
While all the sets were competitive, the Notre Dame girls came out on top winning all five sets in their match against the Saints.
To date, the Wildcats girls have earned a perfect 15-0 record, winning the Vermilion Mega Volley Tournament and the St. Paul Tazmania Tournament last month.
"We just want to make sure we are getting better every single weekend. We have a veteran group and they've set a goal of returning to 2A Provincials at the end of November," said Scott Cameron, the coach of the Wildcats girls' team.
Following the girls' exhibition game, the Notre Dame boys took to the courts facing off against the Saints in a closely contested affair.
With sets being won back and forth, the final result had the St. Paul boys winning three of the five sets.
"We struggled at the service line all night to generate secondary scoring opportunities," said Tyson Watters, the coach of the Wildcats boys' team.
"St. Paul is very strong in the middle and we needed to serve tougher in order to limit the opportunities they had to run the offence to those big players."
The Wildcats boys won their opening tournament of the year, capturing gold at the Lamont Invitational, but then fell short in the quarter finals at the Tazmania tournament in St. Paul.
The two Notre Dame senior squads were set to travel to St. Andre Bessette School in Fort Saskatchewan to compete in another tournament over the weekend.
The Wildcats' schedule will continue to get busier with tournaments slated every weekend until Zones are held in late November, with the exception for the Remembrance Day weekend.
