Oilmen's bonspiel brings full sheet of teams to Lac La Biche

Lots of curling to watch during 42nd Oilmen's bonspiel weekend

Two dozen men's curling teams from northern Alberta and across the province are playing in the three-day annual Oilmen's Bonspiel at the Lac La  Biche Curling Club in the Bold Center. The first games began Friday and the championships wrap up the popular sporting event on Sunday.

Public viewing of the games is available in the main floor or upstairs curling club lounge.

The weekend includes the action on the ice as well as a gala evening event on Saturday night.

The first Oilmen's curling event was held in the community in 1980.
