The Bonnyville Jr. A Pontiacs travelled to the spectacular Sherwood Park Arena for a matchup with the Crusaders this past Wednesday.

After going up 4-1 before the end of the second period, the Pontiacs gave up two goals, including the second of Sherwood Park's powerplay markers on the night. This allowed the Crusaders back in the game before Pontiacs goalie Stephen Klein shut the door for good, giving the Bonnyville its fifth win in six games.

Pontiacs forward Jackson Dudley, who scored two goals on the night, said the team played really well but needs to show a little more discipline and avoid giving up powerplay opportunities.

"We've really been harping on being hard on pucks and hard on the body," said Dudley, following the win. "Our penalties allowed the Crusaders back in the game. But we know that if we stick to the game plan and eliminate the penalties, we will have success."

This weekend the Pontiacs play back to back games at the R.J. Lalonde Arena in Bonnyville. On Friday the Olds Grizzlys come to town and then on Saturday the Pontiacs will take on the Calgary Mustangs. Puck drop for both games is 7 p.m.
