Sharks lose to Wildcats in girls high school hoops

JAWS girls lose 32-49 in regional high school basketball action.

They took an early bite of their opponents in the first quarter, but the J. A. Williams High School Sharks couldn't keep the pressure on, as they dropped a league game Bonnyville's Notre Dame high school Wildcats last Monday afternoon.

The Sharks got out to an early lead, in front of a hometown crowd n the bleachers at the Bold Center gym. The Sharks were out in front of the regional matchup 15-8 after the first quarter, but the Wildcats clawed back, and the JAWS squad lacked their initial bite.
By the start of the second half, the Wildcats had caught up on the scoreboard and continued to capitalize where the Sharks couldn't - sinking shots. The Sharks left many points on the floor after failing to drop baskets in a game that was fairly evenly-matched.
The final was a 32-49 loss for the home team.
