St. Paul Regional High School hosted the SPAA track and field finals last Wednesday, which saw kids from schools across the county compete for a spot in zones through 15 different events.
St. Paul Regional took home the boys and combined points banner, while Glendon claimed the girls banner.
St. Paul Regional’s Nicole Kitt and Chanelle Gagne had particularly strong outings at the SPAA finals, as Kitt set new records in the girls intermediate 1,5000m and 3,000m runs, while Gagne broke records in the girls senior 800m and 3,000m runs.
Paige Skyrpichayko of Glendon also broke a SPAA record with a 28.54 metre throw in the intermediate girls discus event.
The top three finishers in each event will travel to Lloydminster for the zone finals on May 29 at Lloydminster Composite High School.
