The Portage College Voyageurs hit the ice for a pair of home games over the weekend against the Briercrest College Clippers.
The first game goes at 7 pm tonight (Friday) with the puck drop at 7pm. Game two is a matinee game again against the Caronport, Saskatchewan-based Clippers on Saturday at 1 pm.
MAKE SOME NOISE.
From January 17 to February 13, teams and post-secondary institutions in the Alberta Colleges Athletic Association are taking part in the Make Some Noise for Mental Health campaign. The awareness campaign will be seen at the upcoming games and around Portage College campus locations across the Lakeland.
The Voyageurs are currently in last place of the ACAC league with no wins on the season. The Clippers are three points ahead of the last place spot with a win and an OT loss on the season so far. Winning both games would give the Voyageurs a four-point weekend and leap-frog the team into sixth-place in the seven-team league. Only the top six teams in league standings at the end of February will go on to the playoff round.
