MONTREAL — RCMP say two men face charges in connection with a large firearms seizure last year just west of Montreal.

Authorities say Jordan Madden, 29, and Joshua Madden, 31, of Vaudreuil-Dorion, Que., are facing seven charges related to the trafficking, transfer, possession and storage of firearms.

Police say the force's integrated national security team raided a home Nov. 30, discovering 37 firearms, weapons parts, military accessories, more than 10,000 rounds of ammunition and 200 high-capacity magazines.

Authorities say they also found right-wing ideological material.

Police began an investigation in November 2022 after the Canada Border Services Agency intercepted packages destined for the two men.

RCMP say the weapons were sourced from a variety of online platforms that included illegal sellers and legitimate companies, adding that the firearms were then allegedly sold on the illegal Canadian market.

The pair will appear in court on Friday in Valleyfield, Que., west of Montreal.
