Canadian Matt (The Ginja Ninja) Campbell will face Dutch veteran Vincent van der Voort in the first round of the 300,00-pound ($453,640) Jack’s World Series of Darts Finals in Amsterdam.

The winner Friday will take on world No. 1 Gerwyn Price of Wales, the second seed who won the tournament in 2020.

The 24-player event runs through Sunday at the AFAS Live concert hall.

Campbell booked his ticket to the tournament at last month's Jack’s Casino World Series Qualifier in Barnsley, England.

The 32-year-old Hamilton native, a welder by trade, secured a Professional Darts Corp. (PDC) Tour Card for 2022 and 2023 after topping the European Challenge Tour Order of Merit in 2021.

The World Series of Darts Finals begins Friday with the eight seeded players, based on World Series Order of Merit ranking, starting play Saturday in the second round.

The tournament winner earns 70,000 pounds ($105,670) with first-round losers each collecting 5,000 pounds ($7,545).
