PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Cooper Foster netted the game-winning goal with 1:36 remaining in the third period as the Ottawa 67's rallied to defeat the Peterborough Petes 3-2 on Thursday.

Logan Morrison led Ottawa (37-11-2-2) with two goals. Collin MacKenzie made 40 saves.

J.R. Avon and Samuel Mayer replied for Peterborough (26-23-1-2), which dropped its third in a row. Michael Simpson stopped 40-of-43 shots.

Mayer's marker put the home side up 2-1 7:56 into the final frame. But Morrison's second of the game at 13:28 knotted up the contest before Foster scored the winner.

The two sides combined for 40 shots on goal in the third period.

Dalyn Wakely, with two goals, and Anthony Romani scored for North Bay (35-15-1-1). Charlie Robertson stopped 14-of-18 shots in the first two periods before Dom DiVincentiis turned aside all nine shots he faced in relief.
